Traditionally, touch in health care has been classified as either functional or expressive. Yet, this nomenclature denies the reality that all is expressive, and purely may express objectification. The dilemma lies expressing while respecting patient boundaries, especially during intimate touch. Mindfulness offers a solution to dilemma. Mindful touch—being present sensations of connecting an intention care—allows professional convey enjoying benefits person connection.
